BIOGRAPHY

Anna Tenta is an Austrian/Swiss actress and former dancer. She was born in Salzburg*3.3.1977, grew up

in France and Switzerland, studied in Salzburg at Mozarteum/University of performing arts & SEAD, and worked afterwords for 11 years as dancer and choreographer internationally. She has danced for Cie.Sans Filtre, the Forsythe Company, Salome Schneebeli, Joachim Schloemer, Prue Lang and many others. As a choreographer she did both, her own group and solo work- as well as commissioned choreographies, for Schauspielhaus Zürich,

NRJ fashion night and other runway events.

In 2009 she received the award for outstanding achievement from the city of Zürich in the field

of dance and performance.

After the birth of her son Johnny, she transitioned to acting and went to the US, to study and deepen her knowledge.She was coached by Eric Morris and Bob Krakower.Since then she mainly works for film and television across Europe.Among other employments she was a part of the cast of the Golden Globe nominated Belgian film “le tout nouveau testament”, and she was a series regular in a flemish TV Series called “de Zonen van Van As” where she played the Ukrainian “Valentina” in 3 seasons. 

Anna had a lead role in the second season of the

BBC Drama series called “our girl”, worked in the German speaking area in formats like “Tatort” and other TV Movies and a selection of feature films such as “der Unschuldige” by Simon Jaquemet or “Jagdzeit” by Sabine Boss as well as “der Wächter” by Albin Wildner, or "er so, sie so" by Benjamin Heisenberg.

She starred in the Italian film “freaks out”, and worked with the “Riahi brothers” in Austria on “Dunkle Wasser” that is yet to be released. In 2023 she was filming the feature film “Lo que queda de ti” by Gala Gracia in Spain  and “they walk without a sound…” by Tobias Madison in Switzerland. 

Anna loves teaching, and teaches acting at SEAD in Salzburg since 2016, and as a guest lecturer at other university affiliated institutions.

Currently she's filming a Swiss comedy series, and is in preparation for her films *invictus nox* and

*incertitude et désir*.

She is based in Antwerp, Belgium.
